A one-point penalty for fence grabbing meant Warren Kee had to settle for a draw against fellow welterweight John Quinn. Both men looked to work from the clinch and Quinn’s superior grappling appeared to have him in front early on. Kee was to come back into the fight in the latter rounds by bullying his man up against the cage and landing a number of knees. The docked point in the second meant that the judges recorded a 9-9. With Kee also taking the third round the draw was inevitable.
